Isolation and Antibiotic Sensitivity of Klebsiella pneumoniae among Urinary Tract Infected Patients in Dalhatu Araf Specialist Hospital Lafia, Nasarawa State Nigeria

Background and Objectives: Klebsiella pneumoniae complications with limited therapeutic options is considered as one major health issues concerning healthcare professionals worldwide. It of the leading nosocomial bacterial pathogen that causes most urinary tract infection, recently antibiotic resistance pneumonia has totally increased dramatically. Cross-sectional study was performed from September 2021 to end December 2021. This aimed at isolation sensitivity among patients signs symptoms UTI.
 Materials Methods: Cross- sectional About120 urine specimens collected were analysed detect presence pneumoniae. The Disc diffusion method used determine pattern isolates.
 Results: Of 120 collected, only 72 (60%) produced growth. test revealed all isolates sensitive levofloxacin, 30 (14.2%) ciprofloxacin, 28 (13.2%) gentamycin, 20 (9.4%) travid, while Augmentin 17 (8.1%). levofloxacin lowest 0 (0%) travid highest 15(21.7%).
 Conclusion: isolate completely more resistant travid.
